AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2026
Description
The Australian Open is the world-renowned, historic Grand Slam tournament which is held in Melbourne Park each year. Thousands of excited fans from all across the world travel to see their favourite tennis players. Cheering them on and hoping to witness the eventual winners holding the Norman Brookes or Daphne Akhurst Cup. I worked as a Designer & Photo Editor at Tennis Australia during the AO26 campaign. Working under the editorial team, I was tasked with designing several social media carousels for the official Australian Open Instagram account. AO26 ‘Hit Different’ visual style guideline focused heavily on a collage aesthetic that used colourful palettes, tear elements and illustrative assets. When approaching the Instagram carousels, I stayed on-brand and followed the established branding guidelines whilst also having fun. Images were selective and chosen according to the corresponding body copy in the 11-slide carousel. I was fortunate enough to create designs that featured Novak Djokovic, Aryna Sabalenka, and eventual AO26 winners Carlos Alcaraz and Elena Rybakina.
